Standing In Our True Identity

Very soon, within the next decade more or less, we will likely find ourselves living on a planet that will be challenging us and our very existence in ways never before experienced in recorded history. We will be beginning to face the catastrophic impact of climate change: drought, famine, disease, massive flooding, massive migration. In turn, we will likely be dealing with wars around the byproducts of same: immigration, limited water supply, pollution of our land and waterways due to toxic waste, wide spread, and increasing economic disparity.

I describe a bleak scenario, but I am not discouraged. Why? Because I see this as a call to the embodiment of a new level of our humanity. I see this as an evolutionary driver demanding us to step up and into a higher level, a higher frequency of being human.

Somewhere folded into our respective upbringings, were tales and stories of miraculous feats, of people blessed with the capacity to do instantaneous healings,  where, by acts of sheer will, the unforeseen and unexpected came to pass, and things were made right again.

A great teacher, prophet and worker of “miracles” once said, “These things that I do, ye can do also, and greater things can ye do.”  What are the implications of these words? If we take them literally and at face value, what are we being called to?  I hear them as a Prime Directive. In them I hear that we are coded with capacities that we have yet to embody. I hear them as a call to our inherent greatness. I hear them as an affirmation that we ARE indeed Divine Beings and that indeed, this IS the Garden, and we are its Keepers.

What better and more necessary time than now to expand our capacities to imagine our greatness? When will be a more important time for us to begin to recognize and step into our full capacities asBeings of Greatness, as Co-Creators for Real of the things that count? Many of us have been practicing for years creating good jobs, parking spaces, and even wonderful life partners. Great. That was good practice, but small potatoes. How about stepping it up now and – collectively – entertaining the possibility that we may be here for some very monumental transformational purposes? We on the planet today may be, should we so choose, those whose work it is to guide humanity in a truly evolutionary leap.

What will this take? What are the shifts in perception necessary to making this jump in consciousness? How would it look? Who will go with me? Us? Who will lead? Who will follow?

Here are five first steps that I can see, you may have others:

  1. Be willing to vastly and totally let go of previously held perspectives on what is/is not possible
  2. Be willing to hold open the possibility that we are beings of unlimited capacities, of unexperienced greatness
  3. Imagine the exponential impact possible when we collectively engage with intention and shared purpose
  4. STAND IN YOUR GREATNESS….understand that it is your Oneness with the Whole that makes you great. i.e. our greatness comes through us, not from us
  5. Make a commitment to KNOWING this truth. BANISH doubt, fear, sense of lack through self discipline, inner strength, and personal commitment. Know where to go to get refueled, to renew your strength and ferocity.

What I am speaking of is not just exercising more will, determination and force. I am calling us to Know our Birthright as Citizens of the Family of Humanity on Planet Earth at this moment in our shared history. I am calling us to completely and fully Stand in and Embody a far Greater identity of Self. I call us to livein the identity of Self, with a capital “S.”

This is not an act of hubris. In fact, it is an act of ultimate humility. For when one truly steps into this understanding of who we are and why each of us has chosen to incarnate at this particular time, the weight of the responsibility and magnitude of that is humbling. It is with this sense of accountability that I issue this invitation to share in a declaration of the unlimited greatness of humanity here and now.

Let us not dally. Let us continue all the good work that is and has been done by so many, so selflessly for so long. Yet, let us understand and exploit the true power that we share collectively to affect the conditions against which so much of this work has been done.

Together, let us begin to CLAIM our CREATIVE and GENERATIVE capacities. Let us begin to understand the power of our very THOUGHTS and WORDS to create. Let us STEP INTO and EMBODY our TRUE NATURE which is of the DIVINE. It’s more than a pretty and comforting thought. It’s a statement of our TRUE IDENTITY. Let us HONOR and ACCEPT that charge. Let us not shirk from our immense capabilities, but rather explore them, become comfortable with them and deploy them in a loving, wise  and conscientious manner. The Time Is Now.
