Dear Summit-Goers and Interested Friends,
If you have registered for the Kosmos Climate, Consciousness, and Community Summit, (April 20-23), thank you! It is going to be a very rich and interactive journey. We are so excited to welcome you to the Summit and to our beautiful Transition Town, Media, Pennsylvania!
If you are waiting to decide, please register soon. We want you there! It is a big help to the organizers to know how many attendees to expect each day. Day passes and full Summit passes are still available here.
Below, you will find detailed previews for Days One, Two, and Three of the Summit. You can also download the working schedule-at-a-glance PDF. More information about the Closing Day, Tuesday, April 23, will be shared later.
Meals
Each day for breakfast, we will offer coffee and tea, milk and sugar, honey, soy milk, fresh fruit, assorted breads and muffins, matzoh, rice cakes, almond butter and jam, hummus, and nuts. If you have special dietary needs, please plan to bring whatever else you need.
Several afternoon and evening events offer vegetarian and vegan finger foods, and a cash bar. Lunch and dinner are on your own. We will provide a walking map with great suggestions.

Generally, bring what you need to be comfortable at the Summit. Here are some suggestions:
- reusable coffee/tea mug
- reusable water bottle
- comfortable shoes (we will likely take a walk in the park)
- a notebook and pen
- umbrella
- sweater

Day 3 – Registration is at the front entrance – 350 West State Street – from 9am to noon.
Parking is free on Lemon Street and State Street (west of Lemon only), along Providence Park, and everywhere on Sundays. Parking is also free after 6pm. Otherwise, some meters have a 3-hour limit, but are low-cost (quarters needed).
The trolly runs the length of State Street and also stops at Springfield Mall, close to Pendle Hill. The cost is $2.50 (exact change). We may also arrange informal shuttles from time to time. These will be announced. There will be a message board if you are seeking a ride or special-interest connection.
The SEPTA R3 (Media-Elwyn line) travels to Philadelphia (including 30th Street Station), mostly every hour, and it is a 6 minute walk to the venue.
What Else to Expect
Because the Summit occurs on Passover, Easter and Earth Day, we recognize that some Summit-goers may not be able to attend the full schedule due to other obligations. Easter services will be offered at the First Methodist Church, in the same building as Fellowship Hall, for any who wish to attend, on Sunday at 10am. Silent meditation space is also available on Sunday at the beautiful refuge, Heart Space – just a block away – from 10am-1pm, on a drop-in basis. Many other places of worship are available nearby.
At the Summit itself, expect to join in small-group activities, one-on-one discussions, and personal reflection at various times. We ask that you bring an open mind, and enjoy the calm, peaceful tone of the Summit. This is your time to reflect, connect, and recharge. If at any time you have a special concern or need, there are trained facilitators available to meet with you who will do their best to find a solution.
Have a wonderful Summit!!
