Dear Reader,
It has been a busy, enriching time preparing the next edition of Kosmos Journal Quarterly. Our Fall theme, All Consuming! has been very…consuming! We have a lot to share from our inspired authors and advisors about human habits, craving, addiction and attachments, particularly how what we chase, what we most desire, will surely influence our collective future. Presently, I’m feeling consumed by spirit, a beautiful phrase a Navajo wise-woman, Pat McCabe, spoke that really resonated with me. To be consumed by spirit is to place justice, unity, love and joy above our many more superficial ‘wants.’
We invite you to enjoy some excerpts from All Consuming! right now. Just scroll down and check out the Table of Contents along the way. – R. Fabian
The Equinox Edition of Kosmos Journal Quarterly arrives September 22:
All Consuming! What We Consume, and What Consumes Us
featuring: Charles Eisenstein, Daniel Pinchbeck, Jesse Paris Smith, Li An Phoa, Nora Bateson, Judy Wicks, and other luminaries of the global transformation movement.
Our cover is by Belgian-Beninese photographer Fabrice Monteiro. His stunning work challenges us to examine issues of fashion, race, consumerism and exploitation. This costume (and others) were made from found-objects gathered at polluted sites in collaboration with Senegalese fashion designer, Doulcy.

Awakening to the Need for Transformation| A Conversation with Kosmos Founder Nancy Roof
Nancy Roof was a special guest on an Earthfire Institute podcast with Founder and Executive Director Susan Eirich. The mission of Earthfire Institute is to awaken ecological advocacy through human connection to the wild animals under its care. An ardent animal lover herself, Nancy shared deeply about the Kosmos mission to support global transformation in harmony with all Life on Earth – animal, plant, mineral – and in the cosmos.
“It is urgent that we wake up to the systems that are in place that serve no living beings well. To stop taking things for granted. To begin to question; to recognize that our everyday decisions make a difference.”
