Art that changes people’s moods in public spaces

Colors In Motion is an arts collective creating beautiful digital content that shifts the mood of the viewer in public spaces.  Architects, planners, designers and developers are increasingly  incorporating moving light and color into their spaces to engage audiences while calming the body, mind and soul.

In this video, Singing Bowls and Silks, Joan Caplan’s singing crystal bowls harmoniously blend with the visual dance of Linda DeHart’s handpainted silks, artfully rendered by Christopher Graefe.

Linda DeHart creates digital and textile art to transform the viewer’s inner world  through the power of color. Linda launched Colors In Motion on her seventieth birthday in 2009.

Joan Caplan, LICSW, is a musician, social worker, bereaved mother and writer, and has long been actively involved in bringing sacred sounds to many different people.  While mourning of the deaths of her two children, both born with a genetic disease, Joan discovered the profound impact of the healing power of music.

Founder of Bluewhale Studios, Inc., Christopher Graefe has received national recognition from Apple Computer, the Industrial Designers Society of America, and others.

The team also uses painting, dance, poetry and music, to create large- and small-scale installations and “visual concerts”.
