A Message from Nancy Roof | Kosmos Phase II – Endings and Beginnings
Beloved Community,
We see breakdowns happening now all around us, along with new consciousness emerging and new models and movements springing up everywhere. Transformation is here, and Kosmos is part of it.
There is a time for endings and fresh new beginnings to arise. We receive quiet whispers and then clear inner guidance when that time has come—Spirit moves us to new endeavors. After 17 years of loving absorption in the mission of Kosmos Journal, the time to let go has come. Something new is trying to emerge within me. I long for the space to allow that to be fulfilled—space to deepen contemplative practice for renewed service.
Through emptiness, the blossoms can fall like rain.
Through silence, the song of the nightbirds rings out.
In the nothingness, the heart of the world has space
to spin, has silence to sing.” – Llewellyn Vaughan Lee
I am grateful for the privilege of working with so many dedicated authors, artists, staff, global ambassadors, advisors, donors, and Kosmos community. You filled my heart every day with love and dedication to creating a new world in harmony with all Life.
The beautiful part of letting go is that it offers complete freedom to my beloved successor, Rhonda Fabian, to develop Phase II of Kosmos in ways that reflect a new spirit and deep commitment to expanding the mission of Kosmos. She brings skills and capacities that meet the needs of the time for new forms of expression and her sense of beauty permeates all she touches. I feel blessed that Rhonda appeared, out of the blue, to offer her skills and devotion to Kosmos four years ago and now is prepared to take over the main responsibility for its future.
I will be there to support and guide as Kosmos continues to be at the leading edge of emergence.
Radiant Joy to All,

About Nancy Roof
Nancy Roof, Ph.D. is the founder of the award-winning Kosmos Journal: Global Transformation in Harmony with all Life, based on evolving interior development and cultural values as they impact globalization and world community.
Nancy won the 2009 Images and Voices of Hope award for journalism as a tool to inform, inspire and engage individual and collective participation in a global shift to higher-level thinking. In 2004, Kosmos was nominated by Utne for excellence. Her testimony on the human dimension of the United Nations was distributed to the US President and Congress.
As a founder of Transpersonal Psychology (late 70s), she served as a spiritual guide to individuals for 20 years. In the late 80s, she began to define the field of global transformation at the United Nations, where she successfully lobbied for elevated global standards in international treaties and co-founded the Values Caucus (1994) and the Spiritual Caucus (2000).
Working with 78 international organizations in war zones for over two years, she recognized the traumatic effect of war, not only on military personnel, but on their families, communities and service providers. She then designed the first global training programs and workbook on secondary traumatic stress, implemented initially during the Balkan wars and now used internationally.
She is a founding member of the Global Commons Initiative, World Wisdom Council, Creating the New Civilization Initiative, 2020 Climate Leadership Campaign, WorldShift 2012 (Ervin Laszlo), Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment, a Board member of Integral Review, a member of the Research Advisory Board of Ethical Markets and Living Earth TV, and a speaker at Mikhail Gorbachev’s World Political Forum.
With all our love to you Nancy, for who you are and what you do. Wishing you our best for your chosen path.

Dear Alain,
Many thanks and gratitude for being there for me and Kosmos. It means so much to me. I know that both you and I will continue to contribute all we can to global transformation as we have in the past, but in different ways. Much love to you, Nancy.
Dearest Nancy,
I can feel the depth of your heart in this letter as much as everything you have held so beautifully over the years in service of consciousness leadership through your beloved Kosmos Journal. I feel honored to know you and to have been a teeny part of the journey.
I wish you great joy and peace in your precious reflection time, as you sense into what is wanting to emerge next. I can’t wait to see and hear what that is! I know you release the holding of the Kosmos mission with love and confidence to Rhonda who clearly is already taking the Kosmos mission to new heights quite skillfully.
With much love and gratitude.
Analesa
Dearest Analesa,

Analesa
Dearest Nancy,
There are no words to express the love and gratitude of my heart to you.
As you move into silence, my wish is that a very beautiful and powerful divine light guides you into the fullness f emptiness. That you help all of us to reach our life goals and dharma. I will continue to walk closely and will make all that it is in my realm so that your new stage becomes so enlightened that your happiness and joy reaches every corner of the world. Let us provide the cases and conditions for the hippie of all beings and sentient beings.
All my love to you
Alfredo

I will still participate in the new Kosmos Quarterly on occasion, but stay more in the background as my beloved successor, Rhonda, leads the work forward.

Dear Nancy
I can’t believe 17 years has passed since Kosmos became a force for good through you in the world. I remember when the name came to you and your excitement at launching a different kind of magazine. I apologize for my delay in acknowledging your message. I too have taken a different path at this time … moving to Findhorn. I really value the model you set for honouring contemplation as the natural unfolding of your enormously loving, compassionate and generous spirit. You have been moved, and moved many others towards Beauty, Truth and Goodness. Now it is your time to be still. May you be blessed in your stillness as we are blessed by your choice to transform encore une fois. Namaste.
Dear Marilyn,
Thank you for your support and remembrance of our times together – and for your understanding of our need for deep silence in these frenetic times. I am so happy you have found your new home at Findhorn. I am sure you will be embraced and find many other souls to share your work in this catalytic environment. Sending much love and appreciation, Nancy
