Never in my lifetime have I been as inspired by a movement as the one generated by Barack Obama. In México and Spain I’ve witnessed the chant ‘yes, we can’ sung at the World Soccer Cup, but after the local team is defeated it’s replaced by ‘they lost’ and everyone reverts to their numbness and apathy.

The slogan, as simple as it is, is a powerful affirmation (yes) that through unity (we) and action (can) anything is possible.

Obama’s campaign mobilized an entire world community to regain hope that there can be a change, that we can achieve it. But what exactly is this change? What can I do? And what transcendence does it have?

It is a change of consciousness that begins from deep within, from one’s most honest intention and, without remaining in a meditative state, requires we take a step into action and be consequential, so that this new consciousness permeates all our doing, expands and triggers a chain reaction that reverberates throughout our society and uplifts the hearts, minds and lives of our entire planet.

Inspired by this and sustained by our own clarity, we have begun a journey:. We created DHRUVA TV and decided that the best way to participate in this change, and at the same time fulfil our goal, is by producing a series of documentaries that expound the merits of topics ranging from ethical markets and conscious politics to truly sowing the seeds of change through a new generation immersed in conscious pregnancy and respectful childbirth.

Along with some prominent and respected figures we have interviewed, we are including other people not so well known to the general public, but more closer to home – friends and family – that are also having a profound impact through their day-to-day activities. We are certain that the viewer will find a great deal of familiarity and empathy, as well as concrete examples of what he or she can do as an individual. 

We believe that our views, embodied as the core values of DHRUVA TV, are kindred with those of Obama and everyone at Kosmos Journal. Even though we live in different continents, we share a common call for a change that goes beyond any physical boundaries, a call that is bound by the inescapable force of now, our present time, our reality, our own consciousness uplifted.

And yet I know we can take this even a step further: Yes, we are.
