Marco Toscano-Rivalta (Italy) is Humanitarian Affairs Officer, UN Office
for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, NY. He holds a Law degree
and PhD in International Human Rights Law, and has served as a
lecturer to the Universities of Bologna, Siena, Roma e Trento (Italy)
and John Hopkins. He has held several positions at the UN including
Rule of Law Advisor, UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan; Head of
Field Office, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Turkey; and Human
Rights Officer, Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe.
