Abdul Aziz Said Ph.D. is currently the Senior Ranking Professor of International Relations in the School of International Service at American University, where he also serves as Founding Director of the Center for Global Peace, Founding Director of International Peace and Conflict Resolution Program, and is the first occupant of the Mohammed Said Farsi Chair of Islamic Peace. He is the author and editor of more than a dozen books, including Peace and Conflict Resolution in Islam, and most recently Co-editor of Cultural Diversity. He served on the White House Committee on the Islamic World, has been a consultant to the UN Development Program, the US Department of State and the Department of Defense and served on the Arab- Israeli peace dialogues.
