Shehzad NooraniShehzad Noorani has deep interest in social issues that affects lives of millions of people in developing countries. He has covered major stories resulting from manmade and natural disasters in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Other assignments for international developmental agencies like UNICEF, The World Food Programme, and UNAIDS have taken him to over 40 countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Shehzad's personal in-depth documentary work has been extensively exhibited and featured in major international magazines and publications around the world. Daughters of Darkness, his in-depth documentary on the lives of commercial sex workers in South Asia, received the Mother Jones International Award for Documentary Photographer. He has also received an honorable mention by the National Geography’s All Roads Photography Program for his documentary The Children of Black Dust. Shehzad Noorani's photo gallery, Children of the Black Dust | Child Labor in Bangladesh was published in the Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Kosmos Journal. |
