We came from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, United Kingdom, India, France and the East and West coasts of the US to solidify our commitment and to strategize for Phase II of The Widening Circle, which is catalyzing a global citizens movement. Plans are in process for programs at Rio+20 and a Global Assembly for the launch of a Global Citizens movement later this year.

There was a sense of kinship between us all, heightened by coming together in person after well over a year of meeting on the phone. An intimacy that, alas, our Internet connections cannot provide. We are a strong team ready to begin Phase II of our ongoing work. We will keep you posted on our presence at Rio+20 in our newsletter.
